In 2020, I came out of brain surgery physically broken — but that wasn’t the hardest fight. I turned to booze too often, slipped into depression, and relied on prescription drugs just to get through the days. I was drifting, and I hated the man I saw in the mirror and even more, I hated the father and husband I was becoming.
After this major setback that forced me to stop, reflect, and rebuild, I chose to fight back properly — not with shortcuts, but with structure. Step by step, I rebuilt my body, my mindset, and my sense of purpose. Along the way, I quit alcohol, regained my fitness, and completed an Ironman 70.3 and a full marathon in 2025.
